US Sales For May Of Mercedes-Benz Increase By 8.3 Percent
Peter Parcon June 4, 2013Demand in the US market for the month of May increased by 8.3 percent compared to the same period a year ago. This was revealed recently by Mercedes-Benz USA as demand reached 27,359, a new monthly sales record for the company.
Year to date sales increased by 9.8 percent, as sales of Mercedes-Benz vehicles reached 128,730. This include 7,517 Sprinter Van units, which is a 5.3 percent increase compared to the initial five months of the previous year. On the other hand, sales of the smart cars of the luxury car manufacturer only reached 3,678 units.
According to Mercedes-Benz USA CEO and President Steve Cannon, the first five months for 2013 were the accounted for the best sales record of the company. The momentum carried the whole product line of the company, from the entry-level vehicles all the way to the high-end units. The company is expecting to increase sales once the latest E-Class models become available in the showrooms of dealers.
The month of May also sales of the C-Class reaching 8,013 units, which is an increase of 20.5 percent compared to the same period last year. On the other hand, E-Class sales reached 4,930 units while the M-Class sold 3,219 units.
