Brabus Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 Fetches $1.21M in an Auction
Giancarlo Perlas February 5, 2022The journey of one Brabus-tuned 2014 Mercedes-Benz G63 6×6 finally saw a happy ending after it was successfully sold at an auction for a whopping $1.21 million. The sale came without a reserve price at a Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale event.
According to the seller, the AMG G63 6×6 benefitted from Brabus’ tuning program that raised its power from the original 536 hp and 561 lb-ft of torque to 700 hp and 708 lb-ft. The upgrade includes ECU-tuning, modified turbos with a larger compressor, new high-performance catalysts with downpipes plus butterfly valves, and upgraded intakes with gold heat reflection as well as new charge-air pipes to lower its temperature at peak performance.
Complementing the power boost are some suspension enhancements and Nitto Ridge Grappler 37×13.5 tires raising the overall height of the auto at 93.2 inches, width at 86 inches, and length at 231.3 inches. The exterior of the 6×6 gets a subtle improvement from carbon fiber inserts, wood-lined truck bed, and rollbars. However, there seems to be no shortage in its interior upgrades featuring two-tone leather covers, aluminum pedals, sunroof, Harmon Kardon audio system, individual rear seats with entertainment system, more advanced COMAND navigation, illuminated door sills, and Brabus emblems here and there.
The same Brabus Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 was offered on sale by Bring A Trailer earlier with a reserve price of $1.35 million. There were no takers though so it failed to change hands during that occasion.
At any rate, it’s good to see that this rare machine has settled with a new owner after its grueling trips from one auction house to another.
