Facelifted Mercedes-AMG E-Class Announced with 82,284.60 Euros Starting Price
Giancarlo Perlas July 7, 2020The new facelifted Mercedes-AMG E-Class is now available for order. For 82,284.60 euros or $92,917.58 in current exchange rates, interested buyers can already purchase the AMG E 53 4MATIC+ Coupe model of the car.
Mercedes started refreshing its AMG lineup last year. Since then, there were more than 10 new and overhauled models from the brand starting with the Mercedes-AMG GT R. In June, the high-performance variants of the E-Class coupe, cabriolet, saloon, and estate were also revealed.
According to Daimler, the prices of the vehicles are 82,284.60 euros for the AMG E 53 4MATIC+ Coupe, 87,690.20 euros for the AMG E 53 4MATIC+ Cabriolet, 122,159.60 euros for the AMG E 63 4MATIC+ Saloon, and 124,978.40 euros for the AMG E 63 4MATIC+ Estate. The numbers already include the 16% VAT imposed in Germany.
The new AMG E-Class possesses new comfort and styling elements. Among the visual changes of the car include the Panamericana front grille with vertical slats, narrower headlamps, enhanced tail lamps, and front lip spoiler. Meanwhile, its interior highlighted by huge twin screens with the MBUX infotainment software and a new multi-function steering wheel. Integrated also within the infotainment system of the car are AMG-specific functions and themes in the displays that put an emphasis on the vehicle’s AMG status.
The AMG E 53 4MATIC+ Coupe and AMG E 53 4MATIC+ Cabriolet each comes with a 435 hp engine. The AMG E 63 4MATIC+ Saloon and AMG E 63 4MATIC+ Estate each produces 612 hp.
The U.S. prices of the models are yet to be announced.
