Mercedes-Benz EQA Spied on the Road

A new Mercedes-Benz hatchback is on the loose. We believe that the car might be the Mercedes-Benz EQA.
A new spy video puts focus on an A-Class-like car getting test driven. The vehicle appears unmistakably a Mercedes because of its nose layout, and although hidden by a camouflaged wrap, the front grille suggests that a three-pointed star logo is beneath it.
What is unusual about the vehicle though is that it is too quiet. A close look at its rear reveals that it is missing one key crucial element.
Yes, the exhaust pipe is nowhere to be seen!
Those details could only mean that the unit is an electric vehicle. Since the EQ lineup has officially been introduced with the coming of the Mercedes-Benz EQC, the vehicle is likely a follow up in the new range.
Due to its striking similarity with the A-Class and being an EQ car, the unit in the spy video above could be the Mercedes-Benz EQA.
However, we also have some reservations of whether or not the EQA will truly look like the car in the video (without the camo, of course). It is possible that what we are witnessing here is only a test mule for the EQA. We are hoping that some of the cool design elements of the concept will still be carried by the final version too. But then again, the EQC was a lot different than its concept form, so it may not be the case.
As a recap, Mercedes promised over 268 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque from the EQA. This is not far fetched. However, we are in doubt if the company can keep up with its targeted 249-mile electric range.
