Are you wondering what’s it like to be in the cockpit of the RENNtech Mercedes-AMG GT R? Check out the video above that shows a first-person perspective of the car in action.

At first glance, the footage looks like a capture from a video game. It is easy to mistake it as such because of the realistic graphics that games have nowadays, but rest assured that this is a real car traversing the Nurburgring endurance track.

According to the video, the Mercedes-AMG GT R driven by GT3 racer Andreas Simonson is fitted with RENNtech’s R760 Power Package and Hi-Performance Brake Upgrade. The kit improves the output of the sports car from its stock 577 hp to a whopping 760 hp.

The power boost was made possible by adjusting the software configurations of the engine and transmission. After that, RENNtech equipped the car with its signature turbochargers and custom downpipes.

Meanwhile, the brake upgrade of the AMG GT R includes lightweight two-piece brake discs with stainless steel brake lines. It was also given a race-spec brake fluid to optimize its performance, and it was equipped with carbon fiber reinforced plastic. What’s more, it got suspension upgrades from Bilstein. Lastly, the car received Michelin Cup2 ZP tires for better traction.

The RENNtech Mercedes-AMG GT R overcame the track in just 7 minutes and 4 seconds. The time was faster than the stock version of the car by 7 seconds.

The tuner boasted too that the video was taken during the tourist day of the venue when there is a lot of traffic on track.
