It’s darker with more power. Here comes the new Brabus Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S.
In just a month, we have seen the new Brabus packages for the Mercedes-Benz G-Class and Smart ForTwo Cabrio. Now, the famous tuner is showing us its take on the AMG GLC 63 S crossover called the “Brabus 600 Compact SUV”.
Design
Since the GLC is in the AMG line with an S suffix, which means it is already sporty and aggressive-looking in its stock configuration, Brabus only introduces subtle cosmetic enhancements to it. Carbon fiber body components are fitted to optimize the aerodynamics of the vehicle while giving it a darker aura.
The AMG GLC 63 S is also noticeably lower than its standard form. Brabus brings the base of the auto closer to the ground by around 1.2 inches by tinkering its air suspension and partnering it with its signature high-performance wheels measuring 19 to 22 inches.
Going inside, the upholstery of the crossover can be further personalized with Alcantara leather in various colors and aluminum accessories.
Power
It’s never complete without the power-ups, so Brabus highlights the sinister-looking AMG GLC with its PowerXtra B40 600 kit. It adds 89 hp and 74 lb-ft torque in its 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine. That cranks up the overall output of the crossover to 591 hp and 590 lb-ft torque.
The upgrade brings the 0-62 mph acceleration of the AMG GLC to a mere 3.6 seconds. Meanwhile, its top speed is adjusted to 186 mph.
