Fuel Consumption and Emission of Top 6 Mercedes-AMG Models

How much do the top 6 Mercedes-AMG models consume in fuel, and how much pollutants do the cars produce in the environment?

Driving Performance, the AMG Magazine, officially revealed the fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emission of its top six models in 2015 to 2016. Featured in the publication were the Mercedes-AMG GT R, Mercedes-AMG E 43 4MATIC, Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe, Mercedes-AMG S 63 Coupe, Mercedes-AMG GT S, and the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 4MATIC.

Mercedes-AMG GT R

The GT R dubbed as “The Beast of Green Hell” is inspired by the Mercedes-AMG GT3 race car. The auto chugs 15 l/100 km in urban setting while it takes 9.2 l/100 km in extra-urban. The combined fuel consumption of the vehicle is 11.4 l/100 km. On the other hand, its C02 emissions is at 259 g/km. It has an efficiency class of “G.”

Mercedes-AMG E 43 4MATIC

The E 43 bridges the standard E-Class to the range topping AMG E 65. The fuel consumptions of the E 43 are 10.9 l/100 km in urban, 6.8-6.7 l/100 km in extra-urban, and 8.4 l/100 km combined. the E 43’s C02 emissions is at 192 g/km with an efficiency class of “D.” It should be noted that the E 43 has the best figures among the Mercedes-AMG models featured here.

Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe

The AMG C 63 is the most powerful Mercedes C-Class coupe model so far. In terms of fuel consumption, the car uses up 11.4 l/100 km in urban, 6.9 l/100 km in extra-urban, and 8.6 l/100 km combined. The C02 emissions of the vehicle is 195-192 g/km. The auto holds an efficiency class of “E.”

Mercedes-AMG S 63 Coupe

The S 63 Coupe is based on the flagship range of Mercedes-Benz. The urban fuel consumption of the car is 14.2 l/100 km, and its extra urban rate is 8 l/100 km. The combined fuel consumption of the auto is 10.3 l/100 km. Going to its emissions, the car produces 192 g/km of C02. The efficiency class of the S63 Coupe is “F.”

Mercedes-AMG GT S

The successor of the iconic SLS AMG consumes 12.5-12.2 l/100 km of fuel in urban environment and 7.9-7.8 l/100 km in extra-urban area. The combined fuel consumption of the sports car is 9.6-9.4 l/100 km. The C02 emissions of the vehicle is 224-219 g/km. The efficiency class of the auto is “G.”

Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 4MATIC

Surprisingly, the fuel consumption and C02 emissions of the GLS 63 surpass those of the GT R and the GT S. However, the efficiency class of the SUV is only “E.” The urban fuel consumption figure of the car is 15.8 l/100 km and the extra-urban figure is at 10.3 l/100 km. The combined fuel consumption of the vehicle is 12.3/100 km. The SUV produces 288 g/km of C02 while its efficiency class is “E.”
