2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate Makes Its Public Debut

Mercedes-Benz just unveiled its new E-Class Estate. The world premiere of the car was made during the MercedesCup at the Wissenhof tennis club. Roger Federer graced the launching event by being the one to present the auto to the public.
Ola Källenius, Member of the Board of Management at Daimler AG responsible for Mercedes-Benz Cars Sales and the co-presenter of the auto, described the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate as a mix of improved space, functionality and flexibility.
The new E-Class Estate carried over the features of its sedan counterpart. However, it has more capacity compared to it. The estate boasts a capacity of 670 to 1,820 liters. The rear seats of the car can also be folded down in a 40:20:40 split to offer a variety of configurations in terms of seating or transporting a variety of baggage.
For the engine options, the upcoming E-Class Estate features the Mercedes-Benz E 220 d Estate model, which houses a four cylinder diesel power unit. The car has an output of 194 hp.
According to Daimler, extensive tests conducted by the independent organization called DEKRA under real operating conditions have found that the E 220 d Estate produces very low emission figures. The nitrogen oxide (NOx) it releases in the environment are lower than the standards applicable from September 2017.
The high-performance model of the car is the Mercedes-AMG E 43 4MATIC Estate. This one may not be as frugal as the diesel variant, but it definitely caters to buyers who are after power. The AMG 43 version can produce up to 401 hp.
