Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 (C/X117), 2016

Daimler recently revealed that the Mercedes-Benz CLA and the Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake will each receive a facelift.

The two will debut separately. The CLA Coupe will be launched earlier at the New York International Auto Show held on March 25 to April 3, 2016. On the other hand, the CLA Shooting Brake will go public on April 17 to 18, 2016 at the Laureus World Sports Awards in Berlin.

According to the parent of Mercedes, the new CLA and its Shooting Brake version will have a diamond radiator grille in black as a standard feature. Then it will get a new bumper matched with black, chrome or silver trim strip. The rear bumper can also be fitted with chrome and black trim strip between the tailpipes.

Meanwhile, customers can opt for LED High Performance headlamps for better illumination on the road. Another paint finish will be introduced for the CLA range as well in the form of cavansite blue metallic. In addition, a new selection of 18-inch light alloy wheels, either in black or titanium gray with high sheen finish, will come out.

Furthermore, new seat covers and accents adorn its interior. The choices of materials for the interior surfaces are black DINAMICA microfiber and aluminum with honeycomb grain. The controls will be chrome-plated too. The 8-inch media display will come slimmer and it will take a new style of glass cover.

Among the other upgrades will come in the optional KEYLESS-GO Comfort package, Smartphone Integration system, and in the AMG Package.

The same powertrains are carried over by Mercedes for the CLA and the CLA Shooting Brake as the changes are merely cosmetic in nature.
