Video Highlights of Mercedes-Benz at LA Auto Show
Giancarlo Perlas November 30, 2015Mercedes-Benz once again stood out among other car brands at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The event marked the world premiere of the new Mercedes-Benz SL and the Mercedes-Benz GLS.
Highlighting the SL-Class is the Mercedes-Benz SL500 model. Then the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 represented the new GLS range.
It should be noted that the two mentioned products belong to the same generation as their predecessors—in the case of the GLS, its previous version is the GL. Therefore, the changes in their exteriors concentrated only on the lights, bumpers, hood and grille. The interior and the engines tell a different story though.
The leather materials and tech of the autos were revamped to keep up with the changing times and competition. As for the engine, the SL 500 is powered by a V8 with an output of 455 hp and 700 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the GLS 450 possesses a V6 engine capable of producing up to 362 hp and 500 Nm of torque.

Mercedes also used the event to launch its Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe in the US soil. The two AMG V8-powered cars shared the stage with the new SL and GLS in LA.
