Official Pictures Of Updated Mercedes-Benz SL Released
Peter Parcon November 18, 2015The official images of the updated Mercedes-Benz SL were released recently, as shown on a report from worldcarfans.com. The images of the refreshed SL were released before its expected official launch at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
The high resolution photos showed the standard roadster, SL63 AMG 63 and SL65 AMG variants. The standard model comes with a large-sized diamond grille, redesigned front bumper featuring large air intakes and a set of LED headlights inspired by the AMG GT. The rear also saw the taillights redesigned while new chrome exhaust pipes and a large diffuser were installed.
The Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG features a different radiator grille, carbon fiber accents on the bumper and side sills, as well as a set of multi-spoke black wheels clad in Continental ContiSportContact tires. On the other hand the SL65 MAG features silver accents on the bumper, V12 BiTurbo badges and multi-spoke wheels.
The cabin was also updated as it now features a larger display screen along the center console, new driving mode controller and new dashboard watch. ESP and suspension settings buttons are also positioned beside the controller. The cabin of the AMG models also features carbon fiber accents. The new driving mode controller provides the driver five modes to select from, Individual, Sport, Sport+ Comfort and Race.
The roadster is expected to have a powerful engine along with a 9-speed 9GTRONIC automatic gearbox. The luxury vehicle will also come with an Active Body Control system featuring a curve tilting function. For the moment, the engine range of the Mercedes-Benz SL has yet to be revealed by the luxury vehicle manufacturer.
