Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 AMG 4MATIC Unveiled
Peter Parcon October 25, 2015The Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 AMG 4MATIC was unveiled recently by the German luxury vehicle manufacturer, as shown on a report from worldcarfans.com. The GLE 450 is the latest addition to the AMG Sport family following the launch of the C450 AMG and the GLE 450 AMG Coupe.
The latest member of the AMG Sport family features a set of 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, a pair of chrome tailpipes, and black trim for its bumper in front. The interior cabin features sports seats, a flat-bottomed sports steering wheel, aluminum trim details, brushed stainless steel sports pedals, and nappa leather.
The GLE 450 also comes with the same 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that is used on the other AMG Sports vehicles. It is capable of producing 362 HP of power and torque of 383 lb-ft. It is mated with a 9-speed 9G TRONIC automatic transmission sending power to all its four wheels through the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system. The configuration of its all-drive systems allows the front wheels to receive 40 percent of its power while 60 percent is sent to the wheels at the back.
It is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h or 0 to 62 mph within 5.7 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/h or 155 mph. The average fuel consumption of the Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 AMG 4MATIC is at 8.6 liters for every 100 kilometers while its CO2 emissions are limited to 199 g/km.
The GLE 450 offers five driving modes: Individual, Slippery, Comfort, Sport and Sports Plus with each mode customizing its steering, switch points, instrumentation, throttle response, engine sound and load development. The Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 AMG 4MATIC also features the Curve Dynamic Assist system along with an advanced acceleration skid control system.
