Renntech-Tuned Mercedes-AMG C63 Reaches 320 Km/h
Peter Parcon July 19, 2015After the release of a video showing a Renntech-tuned Mercedes-AMG GT reaching the quarter mile within the 10-second region, the tuning specialist continues to work on the latest models of the luxury vehicle manufacturer. The most recent work of the company gave the Mercedes-AMG C63 a Stage 1 tuning kit, before undergoing speed tests at the Autobahn, as shown on a report from gtspirit.com.
The only details available on the performance specifications of the tuned C63 are its power output and torque, which were at 600HP and 800 Nm, respectively. In contrast, the power output of a standard model of the new C63 is 469HP. The increase in power output and torque is expected to allow the tuned C63 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h within three seconds.
The video shows the vehicle easily reaching a top speed of 320 km/h. The video also shows that the 320 km/h mark was reached by the Renntech-tuned C63 while on its sixth gear, which gives an indication of the the possibility that the vehicle may go past the 330 km/h mark if the road was long enough and the seventh gear was engaged.
Aside from the top speed, it can be expected for Renntech to provide more information about the upgrades it gave to the new Mercedes-AMG C63 in the near future.
