Mercedes-Benz USA Creates Interactive Tool for Customizing the GLA

How do you want your Mercedes-Benz GLA to look? Mercedes-Benz USA proudly announced that customers can now decide ways on how to customize their GLA.
Just following the world premiere of the SUV last month, MB USA launched through the Instagram photo-sharing platform an interactive app that would allow customers to personalize how their vehicles will appear.
The tool offered through Instagram provides various ways the user to choose the color, grille, wheel, and roof of his or her Mercedes-Benz GLA. Notably, 11 colors can be chosen for the body of the car. Then, it provides three options for the wheel-design, two choices for the roof, and two themes for the grille.
How to Use the App
Using the app is easy. All the user has to do is to log-in to his or her Instragram account. Next, the user must search for the Instagram user with the name @GLA_Build_Your_Own. After initializing the app by pressing “Start”, the user can already begin to design his or her GLA. Once done, the user can view how his or her personalized GLA appears. The MSRP is also displayed with the end product.

According to the company, the new marketing technique aims to attract the younger demographics to their new product. Eric Jillard, the general manager of marketing services of MB USA, said that they wanted to make their campaign engaging and enjoyable. So, they have decided to use a popular platform such as Instagram for the mentioned purpose.
