Tobias Moers confirmed plans for a Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series at the 2014 Paris Motor Show during an interview with Evo. However, don’t get your hopes up too much for now because the AMG chief hinted the car is a part of a long-term plan. Thus, it would take a couple of years from the present before it will be unveiled. The source predicted the launching of the super car might not happen before 2018.

Just after the revelation, Top Gear produced a render of the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, which you can see above. This possible image of the extreme performance version of the GT was the handy work of a photoshopper known as rc82 workchop.

The artist clearly used the platform of the Mercedes-AMG GT S in coming up with his design. Then, he combined the much-beloved elements of the previous Black Series with it. The outcome was a Mercedes-AMG GT S with bigger wing, bigger wheels, sticky tires, modified air intakes, enhanced aerodynamic features, and everything that would make it pass as a Black Series version.

Another highlight of a Black Series car, aside from better aerodynamic features, is a more powerful engine. We can’t say right now how powerful the engine of the Mercedes AMG GT Black Series might be. However, using the GT S as a benchmark, with its engine already having 503 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque, expect a lot more in the range-topping Black Series.
