Royal Customs Creates A Black Series Body Kit For The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG
Peter Parcon August 25, 2014The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is considered as an iconic vehicle in the supercar lineup of the luxury vehicle manufacturer from Germany. Although the supercar is set to be replaced soon, it did not stop Royal Customs from creating a body kit for the quintessential vehicle upon the request of its owner, as indicated in a report from gtspirit.com.
The owner of the SLS AMG, a Saudi Arabian diplomat, asked Royal Customs to give the super car a body kit that will give it the Black Series appearance. The body kit for the luxury vehicle included all the carbon fiber elements used on the original model of the Black Series.
The design of the body kit itself was already a challenge in itself. It was necessary to create a brand-new body kit to provide the luxury vehicle a simulated wide body. The simulated wide body provides the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG with a complete wide body appearance while allowing the vehicle to return to its original form in case the owner wants to sell it.
The Dubai-based Royal Customs transformed the stock model of the SLS into the wide body Black Series. The transformation made by the tuning specialist entailed the combination of its signature Light Flexible Plastic or LFP with carbon fiber for the modified side skirts and enhanced bumpers. It was also given a rear diffuser, carbon fiber side skirts, wing mirror housing and a fuel filler cap. To complete the look of the SLS AMG, the luxury super car was given red brake calipers and black sports wheels.
Royal Customs general manager Houssam Solh revealed that the new body kit for the SLS AMG is expected to attract the attention of luxury vehicle enthusiasts in Saudi Arabia. Solh added that it is also expected to delight many Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG owners around the world.
