Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG Sport May Be Launched at Detroit
Peter Parcon August 31, 2014The Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG Sport may be unveiled by the German luxury car manufacturer during the Detroit Motor Show 2015, as indicated on a gtspirit.com report. The report indicated that executives from the company provided the information on the upcoming launch of the first AMG Sport variant based on the most recent C-Class of the company.
The Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG Sport is set to be promoted in the same segment as the M Performance range of BMW and S line of Audi. It is also intended to fill in the space between the standard luxury vehicle lineup of Mercedes-Benz and its AMG models.
The upcoming luxury vehicle will feature a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine, which is also being used on the existing C400. The engine of the upcoming luxury vehicle is expected to offer 367 HP of power, which is 34 HP higher than the power output of the engine of the C400
The upcoming launch of the C450 AMG follows the upcoming launch of the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. The C63 AMG is anticipated to be unveiled during the Los Angeles Auto Show.
A rear-wheel drive model of the upcoming luxury vehicle may be offered by the German luxury vehicle manufacturer. In addition to the rear-wheel drive model, the luxury vehicle manufacturer may also offer an all-wheel drive model for the upcoming luxury vehicle. This allows it to be distinguished from the C63, which will also have its own rear-wheel drive model when it enters the market.
Aside from the enhancements on the performance of the C450 AMG Sport, the German luxury vehicle manufacturer also provided it with several visual enhancements. The visual enhancements on the Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG Sport include upgrade brakes, redesigned exhaust, side skirts, rear diffuser and a set of AMG-spec light alloy wheels.
