Smart and Sporty: the smart fortwo edition citybeam

Here’s a rundown of the exterior design of the edition citybeam:
- light blue, silver metallic, or matte anthracite (market dependent) paint job for body panels
- silver tridion safety cell
- three-double-spoke alloy wheels
- wide tires
- titanium headlamps
- LED daytime driving lights
- mirror triangles sporting the edition logo
Overall, the whole look is clean and simple, with just the right amount of sporty appeal to look exciting.
Fixtures for the interior include exclusive leather-optic black seats sporting fabric inserts that come with a ‘crystal grey’ fabric inserts for the backrest and similarly colored stitching. The instrument panel also comes in leather optic accented by stitching in crystal grey. There’s a nifty looking 3-spoke leather sports steering wheel that also features crystal grey stitching.
Rounding out the exclusive interior furnishings are the two-section knee pad and the embroidered floor mats that feature edition lettering.
Standard features for this limited-edition smart fortwo model include the following:

- softouch automatic gear program
- transparent panoramic roof featuring sunblind
People can avail of a coupe or cabrio version of the edition citybeam. Prices start at €14,490 for the 1.0 L petrol mhd citybeam coupe and tops out at €22,951 for the electric drive variant, which features a 55 kW magneto-electric motor (this model comes with an additional €65 monthly rental for the battery.
