Facelift for Mercedes-Benz G-Class
Muamer Hodzic February 18, 2007
Happy Presidents Day to everyone. I have finally returned and will start updating the site again. No I was not on vacation, I was in bed fighting the flu for the last four days. A lot has happened since last Wednesday that you probably have already seen on the other sites, but I will still post some stuff in case someone hasn’t
We’ll begin with the announcement by Mercedes of a facelift for the G-class. The interior has been injected with fresh appeal courtesy of a new, high-grade instrument cluster, an attractively styled steering wheel which is also new, as well as a modified centre console with redesigned switches plus a new-look control unit for the air conditioning. Outside, the latest generation of the G-Class can be identified by the design of its tail light units with their sophisticated LED look. These facelift measures see Mercedes-Benz hold true to its philosophy of making sure that this classic vehicle – which has been in production for over quarter of a century now – is equipped with a comfortable, up-to-date interior on a par with the best saloons, along with state-of-the-art technology.
The facelift is not very noticeable from the picture, but some details were changed. If they were already working on the G-class, couldn’t they have made it a little wider. I would be afraid it would just rollover in a sharp curve with its high center of gravity. Maybe next time, with a new generation.
