For a pickup, all trims below the new X350d of the Mercedes-Benz X-Class leave a lot to be desired in terms of performance and styling. That’s the reason why Brabus stepped up and introduced to us their tuning package for the vehicle.
The video above provides us a closer examination of what the Brabus Mercedes-Benz X-Class has in store for customers. Fresh from the famous Mercedes tuner’s shop in Germany, Shmee brings provides us a review of the auto.
Styling Upgrades
The Brabus package only offers subtle changes to the overall design of the X-Class. The exterior of the pickup benefits from a new front grille complete with a Brabus logo, air inlets, twin roof-mounted lights and quadruple exhaust tips. These are complement by a set of 20-inch wheels.
Meanwhile, the interior of the auto gets various trims in leather and Alcantara. The sporty elements of the cabin are further improved by the new aluminum pedals, sill design, and Brabus badges.
All the mentioned changes further distance the X-Class to the Nissan Navara where it shares its platform.
Performance Boost
Prior to the arrival of the new X350d trim of the X-Class, the X250d was the pickup’s most powerful version. Nissan’s four-cylinder turbo diesel engines could only give as much as 188 hp and 450 Nm of torque to the Mercedes X250d.
Thanks to the Brabus D4 PowerXtra performance upgrade though, the numbers go up to 211 hp and 510 Nm, which is truly fitting for the very large frame and Mercedes DNA of the X-Class.
