The first official designer drawings of the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet, which was released recently, may not be of much use other than giving a general idea on how the luxury vehicle may look like. But, the C-Class Cabriolet was caught on camera showing its rear end and it appears quite similar to the coupe, as shown on a report from autoevolution.com.
Designers may be able to discuss the differences between the two models, but some of these differences may only be noticeable to them. Some industry watchers may even say the designs made by some designers may depict concept cars rather than the production model of the vehicle.
The new video showing the C-Class Cabriolet hints at the possibility that it will feature four seats. While a number of industry watchers make consider this as a ruse, it may still possible for Mercedes-Benz to actually produce a premium convertible featuring a pair of small seats at the back. The convertible that was spotted on the streets of Stuttgart had a good amount of camouflage. The most noticeable element on the prototype was the bright red canvas roof giving industry watchers a peek at a possible color variant for this component of the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet.
The color combination shown on the C-Class Cabriolet prototype may be welcome news since it means the canvas roof may have a number of color variations. It also gives potential owners the opportunity to personalize their luxury vehicles. Even though it is possible for the color combination of the C-Class Cabriolet to be limited since it is a Mercedes-Benz, it may still be possible for it to come in more than the usual color combination.
While the market for luxury convertibles has not been encouraging of late, all three Germany-based luxury vehicle manufacturers have products available in the market for potential buyers of luxury mid-sized four-seat convertibles. Since the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet will be the latest model to be unveiled in the market, the company may pique the interest of more potential buyers compared to its rivals.
