Two Year Old Crashes His Father’s Mercedes C-Class Estate

It is already very common to hear about some people crashing their Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Among the usual causes of the Mercedes mishaps that we read or hear about regularly involve an adventurous soul trying to put his or her vehicle to the limit, carjacking gone wrong, or a technical fault on the part of the auto itself.

Among the unexpected news about Mercedes crashes involve mechanics like the incident where they crashed a customer’s pearlescent finish Mercedes SL65 AMG. My personal favorite in the Mercedes wrecks I have reported so far was the one where two Mechatronics mechanics totaled a rare Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing.

Recently, while looking for a newsworthy story, I came across an article in WFC about a two-year boy who wanted to take his father’s Mercedes C-Class Estate for a spin, but as expected, he crashed the car into a post.

According to the source, the unnamed German toddler sneaked pass his sleeping father and grabbed the keys to their Mercedes C-Class Estate. Upon gaining access to the wagon, he used a stool to reach its controls. He was able to start the car, which immediately sped out from its parking slot into a post because it was already left in the first gear.

Neighbors who witnessed the incident claimed that they saw the car shoot out of its parking space and hit a post.

Fortunately, the event left the child unscathed and the only noticeable damage to the vehicle is its front bumper.

Here are some photos of the incident from WCFL:
