Previously, we featured a video wherein the Mercedes-AMG GT S was pitted against its rival in the market, the Porsche 911 GTS. The Mercedes finished the 400-meter drag race in just 11.8 seconds while the competition trailed behind with 12.3 seconds. It wasn’t really that bad.
Now, we will show you what exactly happens when you take the Mercedes-AMG GT S on a three-way race against the Lexus RC F and the Aston Martin Vantage N430 in a two-kilometer run.
Check out the race of the three supercars here, which were featured in the YouTube video produced by YouCar and Option Auto:
Result (Spoiler Alert!)
The producer of the video certainly did a great job here. I particularly loved its sound effects, which was reminiscent of the Gran Turismo game.
Now, going to the results, unfortunately for the Lexus and Aston, they did not stand a chance against the Mercedes. Once the torque of the GT S kicked early in the race, the two other cars were left to get a good view of its rear. Just a quarter-mile of the race and the winner could already be determined.
The Mercedes sports car finished the two-kilometer run almost a second earlier than the next. Second, to it was the Aston. The last in the bunch was the Lexus.
One thing that contributed to the win of the Mercedes-AMG GT S was its more powerful engine. It should be noted that its 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine is capable of producing up to 503 hp compared to the 430 hp output of the Aston Martin Vantage N430 and the 467 hp under the hood of the Lexus RC F.
