Before 2015 ends, Mercedes-Benz will be launching its first-ever hybrid plug-ins in the U.S. The earliest release of the plug-in Mercedes hybrids is probably in the spring of that year, according to Green Car Reports.

Mercedes-Benz already hinted in several interviews that its S-Class and C-Class sedans will be offering plug-in hybrid models later. However, the source claimed that there will be one more. The third Mercedes hybrid plug-in auto might come from the ML-Class for crossover utility vehicle enthusiasts.

S-Class Hybrid Market Release

The report said the first Mercedes hybrid plug-in to come out in U.S. dealerships will be the S-Class sedan. The new variant from the flagship range of Mercedes-Benz will be on the exhibit rooms in about 18 months.

Europe will be the first to enjoy the first range from the mentioned plug-in Mercedes hybrids based from the article. The arrival of the S-Class hybrid plug-ins will be in the fall of the region. Then, U.S. will follow on its next spring season.

The first Mercedes hybrid plug-in sedan will likely compete with the Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid and the luxury sedan of Tesla, the Model S all-electric.

C-Class Hybrid Debut and Market Launch

The second Mercedes hybrid plug-in, the C-Class, is rumored to make its debut at the Detroit Auto Show next year. It will likely be offered as a 2016 model in the fall of 2015.

ML-Class Hybrid Premiere and Market Release

The debut and market release of the plug-in ML-Class hybrid is not yet clear though. However, the report speculates it might coincide with that of the C-Class hybrid plug-in.

The ML-Class hybrid plug-in is groomed to compete with the ones offered by BMW, Mitsubishi, Range Rover and Volvo.
