Mercedes-Benz Sales Go Down by 8.2% in September

The record-breaking Mercedes-Benz sales figures are over. In September 2018, the overall sales of the three-pointed star marque slumped by 8.2% compared to the same month of 2017. The January to September sales of the brand also saw a fall of 0.1% in comparison to the same period of last year. Mercedes still sold a total of 202,819 units last month though. Meanwhile, the January to September numbers was at 1,715,087 units. The smart brand of Daimler sold 10,850 in September but had a double-digit drop of 15% on a year-on-year comparison. Mercedes-Benz Posts 55th Record Month in September

Mercedes-Benz sales continued to climb higher as the company ended the ninth month of 2017. The third quarter data also showed a very strong performance in the market for the premium car brand. According to Daimler, Mercedes sold 220,894 luxury vehicles in September. The numbers were up by 4.5 percent compared to the same month of last year. With that, the company just posted its 55th consecutive record month. Since the beginning of the year, the premium brand delivered a total of 1,717,300 autos to customers. Mercedes-Benz showed a strong performance in September 2014. In fact, it was the strongest sales month the company has seen so far in its record books, according to MarketWatch. Despite the fiasco in China, after its Shanghai unit has been raided and found by the Chinese government to be overpricing its spare parts and services, that particular region is what actually boosted the sales. There have been several spy photos and videos of the Mercedes C-Class Wagon going around online for the past month. However, the photos and videos either showed the car in camouflage or with patches hiding its major features. Earlier today, photos of the upcoming estate surfaced ahead of its official unveiling. The images were supposed to be included in the official photo set of the Mercedes C-Class Wagon.
