The official 2014 Mercedes-Benz S500 Plug-in Hybrid commercial was released recently by the luxury vehicle manufacturer, as shown on worldcarfans.com. The latest promotional video released by Mercedes-Benz focuses on the efficiency of the S-Class, which is comparable with a Mercedes-Benz-AMG Formula One vehicle. The video clip is entitled, “The Best.” It highlights the fuel efficient powertrains of the S500 Plug-In Hybrid and Formula One cars. It also focuses on the regenerative braking system that is currently being used on Formula One cars. Frankfurt Motor Show May Feature The Mercedes-Benz S500 Plug-In Hybrid

The Mercedes-Benz S500 Plug-in Hybrid sedan is scheduled to make its public debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, which will be held some time in October. Months before the actual event, Mercedes already disclosed its specs. The Mercedes-Benz S500 Plug-in Hybrid is one of the most ambitious and most complex cars of the German automaker this year. This plug-in hybrid model will be using the all-new parallel petrol-electric drivetrain. The system will enable the vehicle to consume an average of 3 liters per 100 kilometer. The third hybrid engine of Mercedes-Benz will be unveiled during the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show through the Mercedes-Benz S500 Plug-In Hybrid, according to MSN Autos. Aside from being efficient, the turbocharged V6 engine will make it the fastest hybrid S-Class in the market. However, the electric motor of the S500 Plug-In Hybrid can be decoupled completely from its gas engine. This will make the vehicle a pure zero-emission electric vehicle, which makes it distinct from the current Mercedes-Benz S400 Hybrid.
