Audi has beaten the competition when it comes to the integration of Level 3 autonomy in production cars when the A8 sedan came equipped with it. Not to be outdone by its German rival, Mercedes-Benz is raising the stakes with its S-Class cars. According to the company, the 2020 lineup of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class will already feature Level 3 autonomy. Mercedes-Benz S560 e Plug-in Hybrid Order Books Now Open

Mercedes-Benz just opened the order books for its third-generation plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) model. Starting yesterday (October 10) the company has started selling the Mercedes-Benz S560 e. According to the press release of Daimler, the prices for the S560 e PHEV starts at €96,065 (excluding VAT), which is $111,023.76 based on the current conversion rates. The car is scheduled to reach dealerships before October ends. Being an S-Class, expect all the standard luxuries offered by the flagship car of Mercedes in the S560 e, including the climate control as well as the infotainment and driver assistance systems. Hofele Design Becomes a Contractual Partner of Mercedes-Benz

It’s been a while since we last heard from Hofele Design. Recently, the German tuner announced that they have partnered with Mercedes-Benz. According to Hofele, they have become a contractual partner of Daimler AG for its Mercedes passenger cars last January. After seeing the likes of the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 and Mercedes-Benz G-Class getting upgrades from the tuner, they are now turning their attention towards the saloon models of the German automaker. Posaidon Mercedes-AMG S63 Cabriolet Can Go 0-62 MPH in Just 2.9 Seconds

Posaidon recently unveiled its new tuning package for the Mercedes-AMG S63 Cabriolet. The engine upgrade allows the convertible to take off from 0 to 62 mph in a whopping 2.9 seconds. Crunching the Numbers Posaidon chose the pre-facelifted version of the AMG S-Class Cabrio that bears a 5.5-liter biturbo V8 engine. The original configuration of the power unit produces 577 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. However, adding the upgrades from the German tuner raises the stakes at 1,005 hp with 1,033 lb-ft of torque. A new Mercedes-Benz prototype was recently spotted while it was undergoing testing. The four-door vehicle is suspected to be the all-new Mercedes-Benz EQS electric vehicle (EV), which will sit on top of the EQ sub-brand. The auto in the spy shots taken by Carscoops is heavily wrapped in a combination of zebra camouflage and black canvas.
