Mercedes-AMG GT S Recalled by MBUSA

Mercedes-AMG recently announced that it is recalling around 135 units of its GT S. Affected models are those built with the 2016 model year or produced sometime between June 1 to July 24, 2015. According to Autoblog, the recall of the 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT S is due to a defect in the carbon-fiber driveshaft. The source said the issue stems from the adhesive bond along the driveshaft and the flange. The result of the problem is loss of power to the rear wheels. Mercedes-Benz Recalls 705,000 Units Due to Airbag Issues

Mercedes-Benz recalls some of its vehicles in the United States for air bag issues. According to NBC, around 705,000 units were affected by the recall. Based on the source, the vehicles covered by the move were equipped with air bags manufactured by Takata Corp. The problem with the said air bags is that they have the tendency to explode with deadly force. The Takata airbags have the risk of overinflating, which can shoot shrapnels to the passenger area when it pops out. Recalls Issued By Mercedes-Benz In The US

Two voluntary recalls will be issued by Mercedes-Benz in the United States, as shown on a report from autoevolution.com. The company has already notified the NHTSA of the planned recall. Eight hundred nine units will be affected by one recall while the second recall will affect 52 vehicles.
