Mercedes-Benz plans to revolutionize its entire lineup of cars by offering a range of EQ all-electric cars, EQ power plug-in hybrids, and EQ Boost 48V mild hybrids. This year, the German automaker will finally introduce its first EQC model around summer while its plug-in hybrid portfolio is set to expand to more than 10 models with gasoline and diesel options by the year’s end. Mercedes-Benz S560 e Plug-in Hybrid Order Books Now Open

Mercedes-Benz just opened the order books for its third-generation plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) model. Starting yesterday (October 10) the company has started selling the Mercedes-Benz S560 e. According to the press release of Daimler, the prices for the S560 e PHEV starts at €96,065 (excluding VAT), which is $111,023.76 based on the current conversion rates. The car is scheduled to reach dealerships before October ends. Being an S-Class, expect all the standard luxuries offered by the flagship car of Mercedes in the S560 e, including the climate control as well as the infotainment and driver assistance systems. The Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe is expected to be released into the market soon after the Concept GLC Coupe was previewed during the Shanghai International Auto Show 2015. However, no one was able to predict that Mercedes-Benz will include a Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe plug-in hybrid in its lineup, as shown on a report from autoevolution.com. A video of what appeared to be a plug-in hybrid variant of the GLC emerged recently. The extra fuel filler cup gave it away as a possible plug-in hybrid. Brabus Raises the Output of the Mercedes-Benz S500 Plug-in Hybrid to 500 HP

It seems Brabus wanted to do something different this time around. Instead of doing its magic on the usual suspects, it chose the Mercedes-Benz S500 Plug-in Hybrid. The new project of the tuner for the car was called the B50 Hybrid. Of course, since we are talking about Brabus here, the key feature of the tuned Mercedes-Benz S500 Plug-in Hybrid is its reconfigured combustion engine. Based on the press release of the tuner, it transformed the output of the hybrid car’s 3.0-liter V6 turbo engine from 328 hp to 379 hp. The 2015 Shanghai Motor Show served as the venue of the official world premiere of the Mercedes-Benz GLE 500e Plug-In Hybrid, as indicated on a report from gtspirit.com. The luxury SUV is the first plug-in hybrid in this vehicle range of the luxury vehicle manufacturer from Germany. Aside from its standard internal combustion engine, the GLE 500e Plug-In Hybrid also features an electric motor. The electric motor increases the power output of the SUV by 114HP giving it a total power output of 436 HP.
