Michael Schumacher Goes Through Nürburgring On A Mercedes AMG F1 Car

On May 19, the Nürburgring Nordschleife will see Michael Schumacher using an AMG F1 W02 car of Mercedes running through it. It comes after the 2007 lap of Nick Heidfeld. Hedidfeld used a BMW Sauber in Nordschleife, which was removed from the Formula 1 racing calendar after the crash of Niki Lauda in 1976. The renowned Formula 1 driver will go through the track on the 19th of May, prior to the twenty-four hour race in Nürburgring. Schumacher Slated to Drive 2011 Mercedes F1 Car in Nürburgring Run-Up

Recently retired Mercedes AMG Petronas driver and newly hired Mercedes-Benz safety consultant and brand ambassador Michael Schumacher is set to drive the 2011 Mercedes F1 car in the run-up to the 24 Hours Nürburgring race on May 19. The appearance of the F1 W02 marks the first time a Silver Arrow F1 car took to the Nürburgring Nordschleife (North Loop) since Juan Manuel Fangio’s win back in 1954. F1: Mercedes Fails to Finish in Points in Indian GP

It was yet another dismal run for Mercedes AMG Petronas at the 2012 Indian Grand Prix, as both drivers failed to finish with championship points. Nico Rosberg was only able to finish 11th, while Michael Schumacher only managed to complete 55 of the 60 laps in the race. Meanwhile, it was Sebastian Vettel winning again, pulling away from Fernando Alonso, who finished second.
