Mercedes-Maybach Concept Car Brings Back the Gullwing Doors

It’s just a matter of time until the new Mercedes-Maybach concept car is revealed. As reported earlier, the coupe, which will take the name Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6, will debut at Pebble Beach in Monterey, California this Thursday. In addition to the teaser photos of the Mercedes-Maybach coupe concept, the official YouTube channel of Mercedes-Benz just released a teaser video of the car. Based on the 34-second clip, the auto will bring back the gullwing doors found on the iconic cars of the three-pointed star marque like the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL and the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. It seems like the Mercedes-Maybach variant does not only include the S500 and S600 models. Apparently, there also exists an S400 version of the ultra-luxurious S-Class. Early this month, a China-based automotive news website featured some pictures of the Mercedes-Maybach S400 4MATIC, which were taken in Beijing. According to the source, the model is only exclusive in the Chinese market. It’s no wonder why many of us outside that Asian country haven’t heard about it before. Will there be a Mercedes-Maybach E-Class? Rumors, spy shots and a new video suggest that the three-pointed star marque might be working on the ultra-luxurious variant of the E-Class. YouTube user walkoART recently posted a short video of a camouflaged variant of the E-Class. What makes it interesting is that the E-Class has a longer wheelbase than the standard. Mercedes-Maybach E-Class To Be Unveiled Next Year

Last month a heavily camouflaged prototype under the Mercedes-Benz E-Class shell was spotted cruising the streets. There was something special with it though. It was longer than the standard version of the range. The area between the B-pillar and the C-pillar was stretched. The C-pillar also carried a window hidden beneath the camo, indicating a design similar to the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.
