Mercedes-Benz Teases Kate Upton Super Bowl Spot

Mercedes-Benz USA, via its YouTube channel, teased a commercial that’s set to be fully shown during the broadcast of Super Bowl XLVII on Feb. 3. The spot stars the new Mercedes-Benz CLA alongside 2012 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue cover model Kate Upton. The teaser lasts over a minute and a half, so that should give us an indication that the actual spot could be much longer. In the preview, Upton is shown posing and blowing bubbles in a car wash, but it’s not exactly what you’d expect when you hear the keywords “Kate Upton” and “car wash” together in one sentence. Official images of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz CLA have already been leaked ahead of the vehicle’s debut at the 2013 North American International Auto Show, showing the radical exterior of the car. Now, we have some new snaps of a 1:18 scale replica of the vehicle that should provide us with more detail about this fresh CLA. Mercedes-Benz intends to make the new CLA its entry-level offering, but as you can see, there’s plenty of style and appeal on this baby despite its placement in the hierarchy of the Mercedes-Benz lineup. New CLA Spy Shots Revealed

We have been hearing rumors about the new Mercedes-Benz CLA which is scheduled to make its debut to the world on January 2013 in a Detroit auto show. There were a lot of speculations regarding what the new car has to offer. Recently, we were able to get hold of the spy shots of the A-Class vehicle. Based on the leaked photos, the CLA borrows some of its design from the Style Concept Coupe which was unveiled earlier this year in a Beijing auto show. Images of a prototype of the Mercedes-Benz CLA were recently sent over to the worldofcarfans.com by a reader of the website. The images were reportedly taken while the car was inside a car park located in Budapest, Hungary. The upcoming Mercedes-Benz CLA, which is set to be unveiled next year and will be produced in Kecskemét, Hungary, will be using the MLA platform It will also use a similar engine as the one found on the A-Class as well as the B-Class models of Mercedes-Benz. Four-Wheel Drive Model Coming To Mercedes CLA

It appears that the upcoming Mercedes Benz CLA will not be limited to a four-door compact coupe since it may be offered in a four-wheel drive model. The upcoming entry-level coupe will use the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system of Mercedes when it will enter the market next year. The system was specifically developed by Mercedes for use on front-wheel drive vehicles that feature a traverse engine design, which is supposedly lighter compared to similar offerings of its competitors. The system will also enhance the fuel efficiency of four-wheel drive model of the Mercedes CLA.
