2016 Mercedes-Benz A-Class will be Compatible with CarPlay

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class will be the earliest model of the three-pointed star brand to offer support for Apple’s CarPlay. This report came from IndianAutosBlog, citing MB Passion as source. In addition to the CarPlay support, the car will also allow MirrorLink integration with its COMAND infotainment system. It was earlier rumored that the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be the first car of the brand to offer CarPlay support. This was backed by the fact that the latest C-Class was the first Mercedes to preview the feature during the Geneva Motor Show last year. Over 8 million Mercedes-Benz C-Class units sold since 1982

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class occupies a sweet spot in the German automaker’s product portfolio, and this is cemented by the fact that there have been over 8 million C-Class Estate and Saloon units sold since it was introduced back in 1982. That’s consistent top performance over five generations of the model line. Mercedes-Benz C-Class lineup gets boost via five new models

The C-Class continues to be one of Mercedes-Benz’s main vehicle lines in terms of the automaker’s global strategy, and as such, the company is giving the lineup a boost by way of five new models, including a new entry-level variant, a couple of four-wheel drive units, a new 4-cylinder model, and the powerful C 450 AMG 4MATIC. The C 160 Saloon arrives as the newest entry-level option for the budget-conscious buyer. It debuts at around 2,000 euros less than its predecessor, the C 180 Saloon. Vath Gives the Mercedes C-Class Estate a Mild Upgrade

The aftermarket tuner Vath introduced a new package for the Mercedes C-Class Estate just a few days ago. The chosen model was the C180. The kit contained various power and performance upgrades for the car. However, the changes in the car were only subtle, retaining many of the traits that defined the C180. The main feature of the tuning package was the configuration in the engine of the C-Class. Vath made a little tinkering with the 1.6-liter turbocharged power unit of the car to bring its output from 156 hp to 192 hp. The torque was raised from 250 Nm to 300 Nm too. Recently, Motor Authority conducted a poll to determine the Best Car to Buy in 2015. Fifteen cars were featured by the car portal in the selection. Among them were three Mercedes cars. In the said poll, the latest Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Mercedes GLA45 AMG, and Mercedes S63 AMG were included. The rest of the choices were the Acura TLX, Alfa Romeo 4C, BMW M3/M4, Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, Ford Mustang, Jaguar F-Type Coupe, Lamborghini Huracán, Lexus RC F, Porsche 918 Spyder, Porsche Macan, Subaru WRX, and the Volkswagen GTI. Mercedes-Benz is doing its very best to meet the luxury car demand in North America as it has added extra shifts in its production facilities, particularly its Tuscaloosa, Alabama plant where the C-Class originates. It should be noted that Daimler localized the production of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class in the U.S. to effectively answer to the region’s consumer demand, and with consideration that it is also the automaker’s single largest market. The two electric vehicles appeared to have significant improvements in terms of design with a more stylish hood and new LED headlights.
