Mercedes-Benz B-Class Reaches the One-million Mark

The Mercedes-Benz B-Class was launched back in 2005, and since then, more than a million units of the German automaker’s pivotal compact MPV have been sold. With that figure reached, it only serves to validate the German automaker’s focus on rounding out its product line with a variety of efficient compact vehicles, while staying true to its heritage as a luxury car manufacturer. Mercedes-Benz India Launches B-Class Diesel

Mercedes-Benz has just launched the diesel variant of the B-Class hatchback in India, in a bid to further bolster its compact-car range in an important market. With some 500 units of the petrol variant sold in the nine months since it was launched, the German automaker is expecting the diesel B-Class to perform better as far as sales figures go. In addition, this new version will help the company reach its expected double-digit growth for the year. New Mercedes-Benz A-Class, B-Class, CLA-Class Models Available

Mercedes-Benz has just launched a whole bunch of new models for the A-Class, B-Class, and CLA-Class. There are some  new efficient entry-level options as well as a line-topping CLA 45 AMG Edition 1. There are new base diesel variants for the A- and B-Classes. You have the A 160 CDI that comes in at 90hp with a price tag of 25,882.50 euros (around $33,800) and the B 160 CDI with the same engine at 27,310.50 euros (around $35,700). From the first glimpse of Mercedes-Benz electric drive concept during the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the development of this electric drive prototype has moved along stylishly to bring a combination of supreme functionality with comfort, style and driving pleasure for the owner and the whole family. Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive Bound for Paris Motor Show

Rumors are starting to heat up for the 2012 Paris Motor Show, scheduled to start at the end of the month. Mercedes-Benz is set to unveil the Concept B-Class Electric Drive vehicle at the motor show, which will see a 100-kW electric motor and lithium-ion battery mounted on a B-Class. This EV concept builds on the B-Class driving experience, enhancing the focus on family use and everyday transportation. The motor provides the vehicle with a range of 200 kilometers. First New Mercedes-Benz A-Class Rolls Off Rastatt Plant

Production of Mercedes-Benz’s second of two new compact car models, the new A-Class, is just getting in gear. The first unit rolled out of the production lines in the automaker’s Rastatt facility, and top officials were on hand for this milestone moment. Over €1.2 billion has been invested by Daimler in the Rastatt plant, which started producing the B-Class in September of last year. Mercedes-Benz A-Class, B-Class Petrol Engines Already Meet Euro 6 Standard

The Euro 6 vehicle emissions standard won’t be in place until September 1, 2014, but right now, the petrol engines for the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class and B-Class vehicles already pass those requirements.
