Mercedes-Maybach S650 Receives a Near-900 HP Boost from Brabus

The Mercedes-Maybach S650 is a car fit for a statesman. It is more opulent than the standard Mercedes and its power is comparable to AMG cars. Once again seeing more room for improvement in the already ultra-luxurious features of the auto, Brabus gave it more power and cosmetic upgrades. Starting in the engine department, the stock Maybach S650 is already capable of producing 621 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque coming from its 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12. But now, thanks to the German aftermarket tuner’s new and bigger turbochargers, second intercooler, and cylinders bored out to 6.3 liters, the numbers are raised to 887 hp and 1,106 lb-ft of torque. Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV Spied Undergoing a Test Drive

The Munich Auto Show is barely a month away, and one of the anticipated models to be unveiled there is what seems to be an SUV with the Maybach logo. We strongly believe that the product might be the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV. Now, we are yet to see the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, but its maker might be looking to introduce it with a bang by starting with its Maybach concept. After that, the production version will likely trim down some of its features to strike a balance between practicality and luxury to match the lower pricing of the standard Benz format. The strategy would be similar to how the three-pointed… Continue Reading »

The V12 Makes Its Comeback in the 2022 Mercedes-Maybach S680

Two years ago, it circulated that the V12 will no longer be offered by Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG models. However, Daimer CEO Ola Kallenius was quick to dismiss the claims saying that the power unit will still be offered by the 2021 S-Class. It appears that the company’s supremo has kept his word on the matter as they just unveiled the new Mercedes-Maybach S680 this month. The launch of the 2022 Maybach S680 came without much fanfare. It doesn’t even have a press release on Daimler’s official media. Compared to the V8 trim of the auto unveiled in 2020, the new model only comes with subtle changes. Among the key features… Continue Reading »

2020 Mercedes-Maybach GLS Spied on the Road

A new GLS variant was recently caught in a couple of spy shots while it was being tested on the road. However, the vehicle appeared to be fitted with more luxurious features. That leads us to believe that it may be the much-anticipated Mercedes-Maybach GLS. The revelation of the Vision Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury early this year was an indication that the three-pointed star brand was looking to challenge the ultra-luxurious Bentley Bentayga and Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Since the GLS sits on top of the luxury SUVs of Mercedes, it is the most likely candidate to get the Maybach treatment—similar to the company’s S-Class flagship car. There have been hints that the GLS… Continue Reading »

It’s been a while since we last heard from Hofele Design. Recently, the German tuner announced that they have partnered with Mercedes-Benz. According to Hofele, they have become a contractual partner of Daimler AG for its Mercedes passenger cars last January. After seeing the likes of the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 and Mercedes-Benz G-Class getting upgrades from the tuner, they are now turning their attention towards the saloon models of the German automaker. The new partnership allows them to officially work on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and even the ultra-luxurious Maybach units. As we have witnessed so far, Hofele offers both engine boost and styling enhancements to the autos they get their hands… Continue Reading »

Carlex Design Pours Maybach Styling to the Mercedes-Benz X-Class

Compared to the other vehicles of Mercedes-Benz, the X-Class pickup features a more utilitarian design. The exterior and interior of the Mercedes-Benz X-Class may be a bump up compared to the G-Class in terms of its luxurious appeal, but the people at Carlex Design thinks that the vehicle could still benefit from a slew of upgrades in styling and comfort. Recently, Polish tuning house Carlex Design introduced its custom body kit and interior overhauls for the X-Class. The new package called the “Mercedes-Benz X-Class Yachting” costs €105,000 or about $166,000. The amount already includes the price of the base Mercedes-Benz X-Class, which is around €37,000 or $58,600. Exterior On the… Continue Reading »
