Manor Marussia Will Run with Mercedes Engines in 2016

Manor Marussia Formula One Team will be driving with Mercedes-Benz engines in the 2016 season. According to the Global Media Site of Daimler, the group will be supplied with Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains (HPP). Then the power units will also benefit from the Fluid Technology Solutions offered by Mercedes’ F1 partner, Petronas. The deal stipulates that Marussia will be provided with the present-year racing engine of AMG throughout the life of the contract. That means, they will have the same power unit used by the Constructors leader and current champion in the next season. Another team in Formula One is joining the Mercedes-Benz bandwagon. According to reports, Lotus F1 Team just inked a deal with the German automaker for a supply of Mercedes engines in the 2015 racing season. Mercedes AMG Petronas has been dominant this season. Marussia Chooses Between Mercedes Or Ferrari Engine For 2014

CEO Andy Webb revealed that Marussia will either shift to a Mercedes-Benz or Ferrari engine in 2014 according to ESPN. Currently, Marussia is the only team using Cosworth engines. However, with the introduction of the new turbo engines for the 2014 season which is more expensive with the existing ones, Cosworth will no longer be developing a new one for the team.
