Jay Leno’s Garage recently featured a very rare treat to its fans, the Mercedes-Benz C111-II gullwing. In his new video posted on YouTube, the Television Hall of Famer was joined by Constantin von Kageneck from the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center to showcase one of the best cars of the three-pointed star brand that never made it to the hands of private individuals. Rare -Benz 300SL Alloy Gullwing Set To be Auctioned

On August 13 an extremely rare 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Alloy Gullwing will be auctioned at RM Sotheby’s, as shown on a report from gtspirit.com. The gullwing is part of the “The Pinnacle Portfolio” offered through the auction house, and industry watchers expect it fetch at least $5.5 million.
