The winner of the 2010 PGA Championship will first be sporting the three-pronged star emblem on his gear in next week’s tournament in Abu Dhabi and will also be tasked to promote the Mercedes Trophy, the exclusive premium amateur golf tourney series. Mercedes-Benz is PGA of America Patron Partner Through 2017

Mercedes-Benz has renewed its pact with the PGA of America, which means that it will maintain its Patron partnership with the golfing body all the way through 2017. The partnership, which was started in 2010, allows the german car brand to stay on as the official patron and the official vehicle of the PGA of America as well as a variety of golf events, including the PGA Championship, the Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid, and as the official patron of the 2014 Ryder Cup (US rights in 2014, global rights except Europe in 2016).
