The Mercedes-Benz Concept EQ A was just unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The launch of its production version is not clear yet, but Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche pointed out that they are serious in tapping into the electric car market. “The Mercedes-Benz Concept EQ A proves that we are serious about introducing electric mobility throughout the portfolio,” Zetsche said in a statement according to Business Insider. The vehicle will carry an all-electric powertrain, and it will be unveiled by its maker at the coming Frankfurt Motor Show this month. Mercedes-Benz Reached Agreement With Chery Automobile Over Use Of EQ Brand

Mercedes-Benz has finally reached an agreement with Chinese company Chery Automobiles over the use of the EQ brand for its electric vehicles. The German automaker is now cleared to use EQ as a badge to their electric vehicles lineup. As reported earlier this year, Chery Automobiles filed a case before China’s trademark regulator because of Mercedes-Benz’s plan of using the EQ brand name. As reported previously, Mercedes-Benz is gearing to launch at least 10 electric vehicles (EV) by 2022. The units include sedans, SUVs, hatchbacks and commercial vehicles. Recently, there are speculations that one of the models coming out within that period is the Mercedes-Benz EQA.
