Hamilton dominates Chinese GP

Lewis Hamilton capped off a fairly dominant race weekend by winning the 2017 Chinese GP, ahead of the Ferrari of Sebastian Vettel, in a race that could have gone either way were it not for certain events. The win puts Hamilton with Vettel in a tie for the drivers championship points lead. Mercedes, meanwhile, takes the lead in the team standings over Ferrari. Red Bull’s Max Verstappen stole the show with an incredible drive, going from P16 all the way to seventh right in the first lap. Chinese Grand Prix qualifying: Hamilton takes pole; Bottas in third

Lewis Hamilton made the most of the dry track at the Chinese Grand Prix on Saturday, taking pole position to fend off Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel. Valtteri Bottas took the other Mercedes car to P3. It sure looks like Hamilton and Vettel will be the duel to watch this season, with Vettel taking first blood when he won the opener at Australia a couple of weeks ago. Lewis Hamilton Will Use Faulty Engine in China as Spare

Lewis Hamilton will still use the problematic engine he had in the previous race as a spare. According to Autosport, Mercedes already identified the issue that held back the reigning Formula One champion at the qualifying of the Chinese Grand Prix. Mercedes Downplays Its Chances At The Chinese Grand Prix

Despite their win at the Chinese Grand Prix last year, Mercedes head Toto Wolff is playing down its chances of retaining the title as the season starts.
