Apple Music Now Standard in New Mercedes-Benz EQS, C-Class, and S-Class

Mercedes-Benz recently partnered with Apple Music to allow the integration of the Cupertino-based mobile phone maker’s music app to the EQS, C-Class, and S-Class cars. The feature will now come as standard through the MBUX infotainment system of the said cars. The integration of Apple Music to the mentioned Mercedes models unlocks the “Online Music” of Mercedes me connect service and the MBUX system. It lets Apple Music subscribers stream up to 75 million songs directly to their cars without ads. Mercedes-Benz is preparing to release Apple CarPlay. That information is based on an internal document shared by C450 AMG blog. However, the new feature will only be available for some of the brands existing models. Among the products that were mentioned to get the tech are select models of the CLA, GLA, B-Class, E-Class, GLE (standard SUV and coupe variants) and CLS all bearing the 2016 model year. The Mercedes-Benz A-Class will be the earliest model of the three-pointed star brand to offer support for Apple’s CarPlay. This report came from IndianAutosBlog, citing MB Passion as source. The CarPlay, previously dubbed as iOS in car, continues to be a “work in progress”. The integration of the new technology upgrade to cars was put off until next year. According to Ubergizmo, car companies that have announced before their commitment to Apple’s CarPlay have pushed back the scheduled integration of the new system to their cars. Among them is Mercedes-Benz. In the statement of Mercedes-Benz, it confirmed it will not adopt the new system for now.
