Some may call it tacky and others may like but one thing’s for sure, this GLK is different. As if the fresh, crisp lines of the Mercedes GLK were not enough, this design house out of Russia decided to treat a GLK to a blue chrome finish.
Vinyl wraps have become an established way to give your car a different look in a matter of hours, and this treatment has been done from pedestrian commuters to exotics. For this finish, a dual-layer operation was necessary. First, a chrome wrap was applied to the GLK, after which a translucent blue skin was layered on for the final effect. The result is certainly unique and sure to be a hit on the younger set.
The Brabus wheels have also been subjected to the same treatment and blue finish, although anodizing or plain painting could also have achieved the same effect. The mechanicals have been untouched, which is a good call because you can’t go wrong with trusting Mercedes on reliability. But the interior has been upgraded with an aftermarket sound system to allow the owner to cruise in style. Like or hate it, you have give the owner and the styling house credit for trying something new.
