RENNtech just unveiled the world’s most powerful Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, or so it claims. The sports car’s output has been tuned to beat the likes of the Mercedes-AMG One and Bugatti Veyron’s power.
The AMG GT Black Series shown here has 1,051 hp and 1,127 lb-ft of torque. It benefits from RENNtech’s R3 bundle consisting of an ECU tune with upgraded turbochargers, stainless steel downpipes, blow-off valves, and other mods. The power boost reduces the 0-62 mph run of the car by a couple of tenths of a second while topping at 219 mph.
In comparison, the stock configuration of the AMG GT Black Series is already mind-blowing. The unadulterated version of the vehicle already has 720 hp and 590 Nm of torque coming from AMG’s handcrafted 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 partnered with a rear-wheel drive system and a dual-clutch seven-speed automatic transmission. All that takes the auto from 0 to 62 mph in mere 3.2 seconds and is good for a top speed of 202 mph.
The performance upgrades are complemented by some aerodynamic mods composed of new alloy wheels that RENNtech describes as “a track focused” and “stylish alternative to the OEM wheels” and additional carbon fiber inserts on the body. It includes an optional roll cage that can be matched to the finish of the car plus racing harnesses.
RENNtech also offers a mild-tune to the AMG GT Black Series with a simple ECU remap to add 98 hp and 95 lb-ft of torque for those who find the over-a-thousand horsepower output as overrated.
