Mercedes-Benz just updated the G-Class lineup, giving it subtle revisions in its styling. One of its models, the G500, was also revealed to get the engine from the Mercedes-AMG GT. Even the G63 has been confirmed to get an extra horsepower from its V8 power unit. Now, if the updates are not enough for you, check out the body kit offered by Prindiville Design.
The new package of the aftermarket firm is called the “Indomitable G”. It provides a fresh take on the Mercedes G-Class by giving it major cosmetic upgrades to its exterior through a 30-piece body kit. According to Digital Trends, the package consists of a military-grade carbon fiber.
Customers can choose the type of weave, pattern, and finish of the body kit, said the source. The upgrades cover areas such as the grille, hood, headlights frame, fenders, side skirts, and bumpers. Even the mirror caps, rubbing strips, door handles, and tire covers received the carbon fiber treatment.
That’s plenty of carbon fiber materials to significantly reduce the weight and enhance the performance of the G-Class on the road.
The engine was not spared by the specialists of Prindiville too. Based on the report, the tuner managed to squeeze out an additional 50 hp in the original power of the auto. It was achieved through a couple of software and exhaust system reconfigurations in the 5.5-liter biturbo V8 engine of the vehicle, which was based on the existing G63 AMG.
The tuner already offers the G-Class complete with the package. Interested buyers can purchase the product starting at $384,000 each.
