Brabus Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 Fetches $1.21M in an Auction

The journey of one Brabus-tuned 2014 Mercedes-Benz G63 6×6 finally saw a happy ending after it was successfully sold at an auction for a whopping $1.21 million. The sale came without a reserve price at a Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale event. According to the seller, the AMG G63 6×6 benefitted from Brabus’ tuning program that raised its power from the original 536 hp and 561 lb-ft of torque to 700 hp and 708 lb-ft. The upgrade includes ECU-tuning, modified turbos with a larger compressor, new high-performance catalysts with downpipes plus butterfly valves, and upgraded intakes with gold heat reflection as well as new charge-air pipes to lower its temperature at peak performance…. Manhart Turns the Mercedes-AMG C63 S Estate Into a 700 HP Rocket

The days of the V8 engines are numbered as Mercedes-Benz is hounded by supply chain issues. To give the powertrain a proper send-off, Manhart just unveiled a new tuning project for the soon-to-be phased-out eight-cylinder-bearing Mercedes-AMG C63 S Estate. The new tuning package of the company turns the AMG C63 S Estate into the “Manhart CR 700 Wagon”. Through an aftermarket turbo performance kit, turbo modifications, new carbon air intake, intercooler enhancement, and ECU remapping, the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 of the car is boosted to 712 hp with 679 lb-ft of torque. Wagons may have lost their appeal to the young generation of car enthusiasts but this tuned Mercedes-AMG CLS 63 S Shooting Brake may bring some of them back to the fold. Recently, German tuning specialist Pogea Racing turned one of these rare goodies to produce more power to let it shoot over 200 mph with relative ease. The CLS no longer has a Shooting Brake variant for the current year because of the declining demand overseas in its last-generation model.
