The Mercedes SLS AMG is no longer in production. The coming of the Mercedes-AMG GT signaled its end two years ago. However, it remains one of the most sought after AMG models bearing the three-pointed star mark.
Recently, RK Tuning revealed its program for the SLS. The tuner gave the car a boost in the engine department plus a couple of body upgrades based on an article from TopSpeed.
RK Tuning retained the same AMG-handcrafted 6.3-liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine of the SLS but with a little twist. From the standard 571 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque output of the car, the tuner raised the numbers to 605 hp and 498 lb-ft of torque. These increased the maximum speed of the auto to 208 mph.
The boost was partnered with a special valved KW Variant 3 coilover suspension kit. These offer adjustable ride height plus rebound control and damper bounce.
Going outside, the SLS is wrapped in Mirror Chrome. The badges were accentuated too together with the fuel cap and the Mercedes logo in the grille. The mentioned elements were wrapped in gloss black.
Lastly, the standard wheels were replaced with 20-inch E1 10-spoke mono block alloy wheels. These were provided by Elegance Wheels, which is the tuner’s in-house wheels label. The rims were wrapped in 265/30R20 tires in front, and 295/30R20 tires in the rear.
RK hadn’t released the details regarding the pricing of its tuning kit for the SLS yet. According to the report, interested buyers should contact the tuner directly for information about the cost of the package.
