The Mercedes-Benz Museum houses the rich and colorful history of the Mercedes-Benz brand as well as the other brands associated with it. The museum sits in the international headquarters of Daimler AG at Stuttgart, Germany. Its masterfully-designed structure was completed and opened on May 19, 2006.
Overall, the building has an exhibit area of 16,500 square meters. The vehicles within the complex number more than 160, which highlight the century-year old story of Mercedes, Daimler and their other brands. Since opening its doors to the public in 2006, it has been visited by more than 5.5 visitors worldwide.
On Sunday, May 25, 2014, Daimler will be celebrating the 8th anniversary of the Mercedes-Benz Museum. During that day, it will be open for visitors free of charge. Now, that’s a great way to spend your Sunday with your family if you are in Stuttgart within that period.
The event will also feature the “Magical Moments” of Mercedes. In that program, the museum will feature eight stations of competition, which will display the 120-year history of motorsport. The winner will receive an exclusive good for two five-course supper at the Mercedes-Benz Museum. Other giveaways include the ten-part DVDs of “Magical Moments”. There will be additional activities for children up to 14 years too, which will immerse them in the world of automotive design.
The participation for the events comes free as well. Registration shall be processed during the same day. So, if you are planning to join the celebration, plan your trip ahead and be in the venue early to beat the huge crowd.
