Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG Black Series Discovered On eBay

The standard model of the second generation Mercedes-Benz CLK is not considered to be extraordinarily appealing to vehicle enthusiasts. But, the same cannot be said with the Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG Black Series. While this luxury super car from Mercedes-Benz is only available as a coupe in the market, its design is similar to the CLK-based F1 safety car of Mercedes-Benz.

It was given an enhanced version of the 6.2-liter V8 engine of AMG, which offers 500HP of power and 465 lb-ft of torque. The 7-speed automatic transmission system of AMG directs this power into the rear wheels of the vehicle. The German luxury vehicle manufacturer reveals that it is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph within 4.1 seconds and has an electronically-limited top speed of 186 mph.

Aside from giving the Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG Black Series with a better engine, AMG also enhanced the chassis and gave it a wider body kit with flared wheel arches and 18-inch alloy wheels. AMG also fine-tuned the interior to differentiate it from the CLK 63 AMG. It was provided an Alcantara-clad steering wheel and front sports seats while removing the rear seats.

The Black Series discovered by carscoops.com on eBay is a 2008 model. It is supposedly one-of-the-forty manufactured in white. It featured a number of aftermarket components, including a roll bar, Renntech carbon front splitter, MACarbon trim and steering wheel, and an Evoms tune that supposedly increased its power output to 600HP.

Its odometer reads 19,500 miles and priced at $85,000. While this price tag may appear steep for the Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG Black Series, it may be a good investment in around a decade.
