The tuners at Leuthen recently got their hands on a Mercedes-AMG GT S. The Hamburg-based firm gave the sports car some upgrades to transform it into a race car.
According to Motorward, the specialists of Leuthen only concentrated on the exterior of the AMG GT S. The updates provided in its body kit include a new carbon fiber front splitter, aero blades on the sides, rear diffuser, and a carbon fiber rear wing inspired by GT3 racing. The tuner topped it all off with a set of SERIE 1 wheels. Then a coil-over suspension was installed to enhance the handling of the car.
Looking at the finished product, there was a big improvement in the overall appearance of the AMG GT S. The upgrades were not extensive like the ones found in the likes of Masonry but these allowed the car to be sportier.
There was no mention of any boost in the engine configuration of the auto. Therefore, the 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine of the Mercedes-AMG GT S retained its 503 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque specs. The power is distributed to the rear-wheels via a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission with manual shifting mode.
The stock AMG GT S has a zero to 60 mph acceleration time of 3.5 seconds. On the other hand, it is capable of achieving a maximum speed of 193 mph.
