We already know a lot about the Mercedes-AMG G63 Crazy Color Edition. It comes in different color themes that stand out from the usual black or white G-Class units. In China though, they have the Mercedes-AMG G63 Crazy Wild Edition, which was launched during the last Shanghai Auto Show.
So what makes the two different? It is really hard to tell them apart. But according to Motorward, the Crazy Wild Edition features more black components that contrast the colorful finish of the vehicles.
The bumpers, wheel arches, meshes, intakes, running boards, glass panels and wheels are darker in color. The windows are heavily tinted too.
Inside, the Wild Color version offers chrome highlights. Then the the dashboard, consoles and steering wheel are in gray leather. They should have at least covered them in high-end piano black material.
Based on CarNewsChina, which is the source of the photos, the Mercedes-AMG G63 Crazy Wild Edition is available in the area for 2.63 million yuan. That’s around $424,000.
The Crazy Wild Edition models of the G63 are only limited to 75 vehicles per color. So far, the choices are red, orange, lime green, cherry, and the solar beam yellow. Doing the math, the total number of the units under the variant is 375.
Under the hood of the G63 Crazy Wild Edition is the AMG 5.5-liter biturbo V8 engine. The output of the power unit is 544 hp with 760 Nm of torque.
